Wrapping pallets is a central component of modern logistics processes. It is used to secure and protect goods on pallets, whether against transport damage, environmental influences or theft. Depending on the requirements, various methods are available, which differ in terms of their areas of application and advantages.
Manual wrapping is mainly used in small businesses or for irregular packaging volumes. It is also often the first choice for bulky or irregularly shaped loads.
Advantages
Here a Semi-automatic pallet wrapping machine which supports the wrapping process. The pallet is placed on the turntable manually and the wrapping process itself is carried out automatically. Semi-automatic machines are suitable for medium-sized companies that regularly wrap pallets.
Advantages
Fully automatic pallet wrappers work without manual intervention. They are often part of a larger conveyor system and enable a fully automated packaging process. Large logistics centers and industrial companies with high packaging volumes rely on fully automatic solutions.
Advantages
At the Shrinkage the pallet is wrapped with a shrink film, which is pulled tightly against the goods by applying heat. This method is often used for sensitive or valuable goods that require special protection, e.g. in the food or electronics industry.
Advantages
Stretch hoods are prefabricated elastic covers that are pulled over the pallet. These solutions are used primarily in sectors such as agriculture, where breathability is required (e.g. for fruit and vegetables).
Advantages
At the Strapping the pallet is secured with plastic or metal straps. Strapping is often combined with other types of packaging. Strapping is mainly used for heavy or irregularly shaped goods, e.g. in the building materials industry.
Advantages
The choice of the right process depends heavily on the individual requirements of the company. While manual packaging is ideal for small quantities and flexible requirements, automated solutions score points for efficiency and consistent quality for large quantities. Shrink films and stretch hoods offer particular advantages for special applications, while strapping can be a useful addition.
By choosing the right method, companies can not only optimize their logistics processes, but also save costs and ensure the safety of their goods.

Packaging - As much as necessary,
as little as possible
BVS uses the NaturePak label for products that enable ecologically sound use, reduce CO2 emissions and generate less waste, regardless of the packaging material used.
Our strategy
Packaging made from recycled paper
Paper pays off for people and the environment in the long term. It is even better to use paper with a high recycled content. Recycled paper optimizes water and energy consumption and thus protects the environment and climate by reducing waste. Recycled paper offers a wide range of added value for all users.
Plastic packaging with recycled content
Polyethylene films are increasingly being produced with a proportion of recycled material, which - as far as technically possible - is being continuously increased. They are the most modern and safest quality packaging for all branches of industry. Due to their low density and excellent physical and mechanical properties, PE films have major advantages over paper, cardboard, metal and glass.
