The Decision Tower uses AI-based machine vision to maximize the uptime of your end-of-line equipment and adapt your business processes for outstanding operational performance. Machine uptime is of paramount importance for packaging companies. Most downtime is caused by cartons falling out of line and errors during manual packing under pressure. Decision Tower prevents downtime by detecting potential problems before they lead to jams. During automatic inspection, faulty cartons are flagged or rerouted so that problems are resolved before they lead to productivity losses. Decision Tower's algorithms have been refined based on years of practical experience.

What the Decision Tower can do
Indicates boxes that are filled beyond the fold line/carton top edge.
Identifies boxes with the wrong format that are forwarded to upstream machines.
Indicates turned cartons that cannot be further processed.
Marks empty cartons that are to be packed automatically.
Records the amount of visible empty space in the carton to analyze the packaging.
Indicates cartons whose flaps are out of range and may cause jamming.
Indicates packages that are shipped in a separate container (SIOC) to enable selective handling of the cartons.

Decision Tower in combination with the FillPak Trident paper filling system
DecisionTower with FillPak Trident uses the image processing capabilities of the DecisionTower to measure voids and dispense the perfect amount of paper void fill via the FillPak Trident. The solution can adapt to different box sizes and void heights, ensuring precise amounts of material protect products without overfilling.
