As part of this collaboration, significant shares in BVS Packaging Group AG were transferred to Packaging Group AG, based in Zug, with retroactive effect from January 1, 2025.

The aim of this partnership is to create a sustainable succession solution for the BVS Group in the interests of the owner Livio Marchioni and to ensure the long-term development of the Group through a strong entrepreneurial alliance. The locations in Switzerland, Germany and Austria will remain under the current management. Livio Marchioni will remain a shareholder of the Group and will continue to serve as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Livio Marchioni will also join the Board of Directors of Packaging Group AG. A generous special bonus has been made available to the employees of the BVS Group from the proceeds of the sale. "It is my personal thanks for the dedication and long-standing loyalty of my employees and should also be an incentive for their future commitment to the Group in the extended network," says Marchioni.

Packaging Group AG, which belongs to Genico Family Office AG, now unites six companies from the packaging industry, including Equisa AG, Carlo Volponi SA, Frima Pac AG, Finser Packaging SA and the newly acquired subsidiaries of BVS Packaging Group AG. CEO and owner Andreas Georgiadis is delighted with the addition of the BVS Group, which now makes up the largest part of Packaging Group AG. "By combining our expertise and experience, we are creating even more diversity, strength and proximity for our customers. The partnership brings fresh impetus and opens up new opportunities, whether in purchasing, product development or logistics. At the same time, the BVS Group remains an independent company with a clear identity and familiar character - and that is precisely what makes this collaboration so valuable.

Livio Marchioni, owner and CEO of BVS Packaging Group AG

"The BVS Group shares our deeply rooted conviction that committed employees are the heart of the company. and the soul of a company - it was precisely this shared set of values that was decisive for our partnership. The merger not only increases our professional strength, but also creates a network of people who achieve great things every day with passion, experience and genuine customer proximity.

Packaging - As much as necessary,
as little as possible

BVS uses the NaturePak label for products that enable ecologically sound use, reduce CO2 emissions and generate less waste, regardless of the packaging material used.

Our strategy

  • Less packaging means less waste
  • Better protection through high quality
  • Packaging materials made from recycled raw materials or equivalent proportions
  • Economical packaging systems reduce material and energy consumption
  • Ecological customer solutions regardless of material
  • Objective information about different packaging materials

Packaging made from recycled paper

Paper pays off for people and the environment in the long term. It is even better to use paper with a high recycled content. Recycled paper optimizes water and energy consumption and thus protects the environment and climate by reducing waste. Recycled paper offers a wide range of added value for all users.

  • Protects the environment and reduces CO2 emissions
  • Saves energy and water
  • Less waste through optimal recycling

Plastic packaging with recycled content

Polyethylene films are increasingly being produced with a proportion of recycled material, which - as far as technically possible - is being continuously increased. They are the most modern and safest quality packaging for all branches of industry. Due to their low density and excellent physical and mechanical properties, PE films have major advantages over paper, cardboard, metal and glass.

  • Protects the environment and reduces CO2 emissions
  • Can be recycled again and again
  • Is a lightweight material with a high protective effect
  • Significantly reduces food waste when used in the food industry
  • Generates much less waste than glass, metal or paper
