Banderoles - environmentally friendly and efficient packaging with minimal use of materials

Our banderoles are an intelligent and resource-saving solution for bundling and labeling products. Whether paper or film banding - they enable clean and material-saving packaging without adhesive tape or shrink film. They are ideal for fixing, sealing or branding a wide variety of goods, such as printed products, cosmetics or foodstuffs. Banderoles not only optimize the packaging, but also the presentation at the point of sale.

What is a banderole?

A sleeve is a narrow strip of paper or film that is wrapped around one or more products. It can be used to hold the products together, secure them, close them and label them with information and designs. It has both a practical function as a packaging element for stabilization and an advertising function for logos, prices or other information. The term comes from the French and means "small banner". Originally, it was used as an official seal or to mark sovereign territories.

Functions and areas of application

  • Bundling and securing: Banderoles hold several products (e.g. books, food, textiles) together and protect them during transportation.
  • Information carriers: They carry important information such as prices, ingredients, expiration dates, tax information or manufacturer information.
  • Brand presentation and advertising: Banderoles serve as advertising space for logos, designs and marketing messages to visually enhance products or draw attention to special offers.
  • Sealing function: You can seal products to ensure tamper-proof packaging.
  • Sustainable alternative: Banderoles are an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic bags, cardboard sleeves or additional outer packaging.

Examples of specific applications

  • Food industry: for bundling and securing salami, bread or other foodstuffs.
  • Textile industry: for fixing and labeling clothing or other textiles.
  • Pharmaceutical industry: For keeping products together and providing important information.
  • Monetary system: For bundling banknotes, with different printing colors distinguishing the types.
  • Cigars: The "cigar ring" or "belly band" is a band that emphasizes the appearance of the cigar.

Packaging - As much as necessary,
as little as possible

BVS uses the NaturePak label for products that enable ecologically sound use, reduce CO2 emissions and generate less waste, regardless of the packaging material used.

Our strategy

  • Less packaging means less waste
  • Better protection through high quality
  • Packaging materials made from recycled raw materials or equivalent proportions
  • Economical packaging systems reduce material and energy consumption
  • Ecological customer solutions regardless of material
  • Objective information about different packaging materials

Packaging made from recycled paper

Paper pays off for people and the environment in the long term. It is even better to use paper with a high recycled content. Recycled paper optimizes water and energy consumption and thus protects the environment and climate by reducing waste. Recycled paper offers a wide range of added value for all users.

  • Protects the environment and reduces CO2 emissions
  • Saves energy and water
  • Less waste through optimal recycling

Plastic packaging with recycled content

Polyethylene films are increasingly being produced with a proportion of recycled material, which - as far as technically possible - is being continuously increased. They are the most modern and safest quality packaging for all branches of industry. Due to their low density and excellent physical and mechanical properties, PE films have major advantages over paper, cardboard, metal and glass.

  • Protects the environment and reduces CO2 emissions
  • Can be recycled again and again
  • Is a lightweight material with a high protective effect
  • Significantly reduces food waste when used in the food industry
  • Generates much less waste than glass, metal or paper
