Pallet hood stretcher

Fully automatic hood stretchers for optimum transport protection and maximum efficiency

Our pallet hood stretchers are an efficient and safe solution for the automated application of shrink hoods to pallets. They are ideal for warehousing, shipping and logistics and provide optimum protection against dust, moisture and transport damage. Increase your packaging efficiency with our robust and easy-to-operate machines - perfect for sustainable and economical packaging processes.

What is a hood stretcher?

A stretch hood, also known as a pallet stretch hood, is a machine that wraps pallets with a film hood to secure and stabilize the load. This technology is mainly used in logistics to protect pallets from damage during transportation and to protect them from the weather.

Functionality

The hood stretcher puts a pre-cut film hood over the pallet and then tightens the film by means of mechanical tension. This fixes the load firmly to the pallet and protects it from impacts, moisture and dirt.

Advantages

  • Improved load securing: The film cover stabilizes the pallet and reduces the risk of load loss during transport.
  • Weather protection: The foil cover reliably protects the load from rain, snow, dust and other external influences.
  • Reduced film consumption: Compared to other packaging methods, the use of film can often be reduced with stretch hoods.
  • Attractive appearance: The smooth film surface provides an attractive presentation surface for products and brand logos.
  • Efficiency: Stretch hoods work quickly and efficiently, which increases packaging speed.
  • Automation: Many models are fully automatic and can be easily integrated into existing production lines.

Areas of application

Hood stretchers are used in various industries, including:

  • Beverage industry: Secure packaging of beverage pallets,
  • Building materials industry: Packaging of building materials on pallets.
  • Household appliance industry: safe packaging of household appliances.
  • General logistics: packaging of various products on pallets.

Packaging - As much as necessary,
as little as possible

BVS uses the NaturePak label for products that enable ecologically sound use, reduce CO2 emissions and generate less waste, regardless of the packaging material used.

Our strategy

  • Less packaging means less waste
  • Better protection through high quality
  • Packaging materials made from recycled raw materials or equivalent proportions
  • Economical packaging systems reduce material and energy consumption
  • Ecological customer solutions regardless of material
  • Objective information about different packaging materials

Packaging made from recycled paper

Paper pays off for people and the environment in the long term. It is even better to use paper with a high recycled content. Recycled paper optimizes water and energy consumption and thus protects the environment and climate by reducing waste. Recycled paper offers a wide range of added value for all users.

  • Protects the environment and reduces CO2 emissions
  • Saves energy and water
  • Less waste through optimal recycling

Plastic packaging with recycled content

Polyethylene films are increasingly being produced with a proportion of recycled material, which - as far as technically possible - is being continuously increased. They are the most modern and safest quality packaging for all branches of industry. Due to their low density and excellent physical and mechanical properties, PE films have major advantages over paper, cardboard, metal and glass.

  • Protects the environment and reduces CO2 emissions
  • Can be recycled again and again
  • Is a lightweight material with a high protective effect
  • Significantly reduces food waste when used in the food industry
  • Generates much less waste than glass, metal or paper
