Menu and More AG specializes in balanced, seasonal and healthy meals for children and young people. It supplies numerous lunch tables with fresh menus and special products every day. The meals, made from regional ingredients, are lovingly prepared by chefs and delivered fresh to the childcare locations every day.

Initial situation

The food was counted and packed into transport containers manually and without technical support, which led to a certain level of error. The manual process also offered potential for improvement in terms of the ergonomic design of employees' workstations. The relocation of the order picking department to the new site in Spreitenbach proved to be the ideal time to implement improvements in the packaging process.

Solution

To ensure mobility and ergonomic working, five height-adjustable packing tables on castors were manufactured and installed by BVS in accordance with Menu and More's specifications. Barcode scanners were integrated into the table tops to record the shipping units at the workstation.

Plastic packaging with recycled content

Polyethylene films are increasingly being produced with a proportion of recycled material, which - as far as technically possible - is being continuously increased. They are the most modern and safest quality packaging for all branches of industry. Due to their low density and excellent physical and mechanical properties, PE films have major advantages over paper, cardboard, metal and glass.
